Parents are fighting over TV shows
Earphones go on
Boyfriend believes I eat too much
Earphones go on
Local news- don’t want to start
Earphones go on
Another brilliant cashier with no brain
Earphones go on
Girls at the m all tell me what to buy
Earphones go on
Siblings know what I should be doing
Earphones go on
Heading to Sunday mass
Leaving the earphones

Dismissed

Class ends. You either have
to go to your next one or
Head home on the bus or car
you either have little homework
Or the entire semester of work
to do in one weekend
Once its all done completing all
your work getting a passing
Grade its either more summer school or work
more get up, shower, head off driving to
and from, getting lunch, work for a
paycheck to support yourself and maybe spouse
You do your work so you can
be part of the cycle of school- dismissed,
work dismissed or divorce dismissed
When you find the answer to all of the
why’s of the many dismissals you’ll
meet your final dismissal to heaven

Problems to Jesus

I give my problems to Jesus
sometimes he frustratingly gives
them back saying you still
haven’t learned
Years go by and I give it
to Him again and accepts
with hugs even
I asked what I did differently
because I was confused
This time, He said, you did it
with profound love and apologized
for your actions
Before, He added, your anger
was apparent and faith under
the covers
